This is the strangely-titled 'Nintendo Special' (it's a Nintendo magazine; wouldn't that make every issue a 'Nintendo Special'?). What the title is actually referring to is that rather than focus on new and upcoming games, this issue instead features retrospective articles on classic Nintendo games - predominantly from the NES era, although both Game Boy and SNES games are covered as well.

It wasn't all nostalgia, however, as the big story was information on the Starwing Challenge Day. This was a nationwide contest in which players would play a modified version of Starwing, with high scorers winning holidays and other prizes. Today, Starwing Challenge cartridges occasionally appear on Ebay, selling for hundreds of pounds each.
